The expression, looking at life with rose colored glasses has a figurative meaning that supports an optimistic approach to the way we look at life. But what if we were to pop on those rose-colored glasses a bit more often and give thanks every day for things like our senses – and all the little wonders we are able to see, smell, hear, touch, taste, feel and experience?
The gift of sight is one of those gifts that we all too often take for granted. While we try to manage our lives and the crazy, hustle and bustle, we have to remind ourselves to take the stop and smell the proverbial roses.
So this year as we kick off the start of the holiday season with the annual turkey and trimmings, let’s all make a commitment to clearly SEE and appreciate what the world has to offer.
As eyecare professionals who support eye health, we’d like to remind you to take care of your eyes, treat them well, give thanks for the beauty they enable you to see and to take the time to think about those who are less fortunate.
Thanksgiving…what a great time to be thankful for all of the gifts we’ve been given and the special people in our lives.
From all of us at Väri Eyewear, Happy Thanksgiving
