From the Slopes to the Sea - Väri’s Unstoppable Clipables Add Style with the VC4

February 4, 2019 – Port Washington, NY – I & Eye Optical, a well-respected, Long Island based eyewear manufacturer and merchandiser with national distribution, expands its popular line of magnetic clipable frames with a new style called the VC4.

Väri’s best-selling clipable line adds its newest frame with a twist on a classic, updated and timeless style. Providing both plano and options for sunglass-lens colors, the VC4 features a modern version of a classic-square shape with a slightly larger lens area width of 55mm. Like the VC3, this latest style includes a unique spring-hinge design and a new detail to the magnetic clip. Designed with a small lip at the back of the magnetic sunglass lens attachment, the frame front clips effortlessly and securely to the VC4 frame chassis. For people on the go, the clip detail adds an extra layer of security for the accompanying G15 or mirrored lens to stay fixed and firm on the frame front.

Convertible and multi-functional is the name of the game when it comes to the Väri clipable line. Extremely lightweight, the magnetic clip attaches quickly and fits so seamlessly flush, it looks as if it is one frame when placed on top of the plano chassis. Additional sunglass-lens frames can be purchased separately and when not in use, can stack on top of each other to keep lenses scratch free.

All Väri clipables feature multi-coated polarized mirrored or non-mirrored G15 lenses. Mirrored lenses for the VC4 line come in complimentary, distinctive colors such as blue mirror to compliment the black frame, and gold mirror to compliment the tortoise frame. Frame options for this line include the C20 Black-with-Black clip detail and G15 Polar-Lens Clip, the C20 Black-with-Black clip detail and Blue Mirror Polar-Lens Clip, the C25 Dark-Tort-with-Dark-Tort clip detail and G15 Polar-Lens Clip and the C25 Dark-Tort-with-Dark-Tort clip detail and Gold Mirror Polar clip.

Rich Baum, co-founder for Väri said, “We really can’t get over the demand for our Clipables. The idea for clipables isn’t something completely new, but the feedback we hear is that it has never been this comfortable to wear.” Co-founder, Clif Browner adds, “We see more and more people being concerned about the health of their eyes and protecting them, the polarization these clip-ons provide hits the mark for style and for protection. They’re at a great price point and we see people buying extra frame fronts to give them even more options.” Baum also comments, “For people that wear progressive lenses, the clipable collection enables them to get even more mileage out of their frames with its dual-nature versatility.”

“Made in the Fades”
Väri Expands Color Line for Popular Frame Styles
 – the VR13 and VR14

January 29, 2019 – Port Washington, NY – Väri Eyewear, a division of I & Eye Optical, a well-respected, Long Island-based eyewear manufacturer and merchandiser with national distribution, again expands two of its most popular styles and introduces the “Fade-Away” color collection for the popular VR13 and VR14 frame lines.

Taking its cue from the popular “ombre” trend, the new color collection offers exciting new colors that either blend together, or provide multiple hues of time-tested favorites to provide truly unique color combinations to these styles.

There are three exciting colors released in the VR13 as part of this new collection including Lilac Fade, which is a beautiful lilac upper frame fading to a translucent bottom. Light Blue Rose is another exciting color combination which fades top to bottom from a light blue to rose. The Slate Blue Fade makes a statement as the frame’s upper-indigo hue changes in color depth and saturation to a translucent bottom.  Like all VR13 frames, the style is unisex, lightweight with a universal fit, and square shaped with rounded corners.

For the VR14, two new colors expand this line and include Väri’s Black Fade and Tortoise Fade. Both provide a new twist on more traditional colors and offer tremendous style.  As with the rest of the collection, VR-14 frames come with a more rectangular shape, rounded corners, rounded stainless-steel metal bridge and metal rings that highlight the temple tips.

Both Unisex frames are designed with a modified keyhole bridge offering an excellent fit and screwless-hinge design.

Rich Baum, co-founder of Väri says, “From the moment we released these new colors, we’ve seen a tremendous response with many of our clients ordering the frame a second time in another color. Clif Browner, Co-founder for Väri adds, “The frame’s universal appeal has both men and women excited about the new colors.”

Representing features from several of Väri’s most popular frames, the new styles sport exceptional design and color combinations with stainless-steel temples and saddle-shaped bridge.

The frame colors for the VR17 come in a sharp, polished, Shiny Tortoise with Black Temples, a time-honored Matte Black with Black Temples for a tone-on-tone classic, as well as a show-stopping ombre that fades from black to tortoise, called Black to Tort.  Rounding out the line is an essential Black Fade.

Like all Väri frames, the extraordinarily comfortable-to-wear VR18 frame is a modified rounded square.  The colors used for this style show off some additional flair and include Lilac Fade, which is a beautiful lilac upper frame fading to a translucent bottom; Light Blue Rose which offers another exciting color combination and fades top to bottom from a light blue to rose.  Next, Väri’s Slate Blue Fade makes a statement as the frame’s upper indigo hue changes in color depth and saturation to a translucent bottom.  The style also offers a Blue Demi that pairs cool blue with black in a tortoise, as well as a classic tortoise called Shell.

Regarding the introduction of the new fade-away colors, Rich Baum, Co-Founder for Väri says, “We took a cue from the very popular “ombre” trend to create a really fun collection by blending colors into each other and providing multiple hues of time-tested favorites for some truly distinctive styles.
